Families in Polk County, North Carolina, got a taste of what it's like to live a child-free life on Saturday.
The annual Spring Fever Family Fun Fest was held in honor of Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, with informational booths, face painting, T-shirts, music, games, prizes, balloon animals, and a caricaturist, bounce houses, the Polk County News-Herald reports.
"The purpose of this beautiful day is for the kids to have fun and also for people in the area to learn about the many services available to them," says an organizer.
The event was sponsored by the Polk County Community Child Protection Team, Polk County Community Foundation, Steps to HOPE, Polk County Division of Social Services, and Polk County Public Health and Outreach.
